Requests for official Lee County criminal records belong with the government office that created or maintains the record. The routing below distinguishes sheriff reports and jail information from court files and statewide Illinois criminal history responses, while making clear what this privately operated resource cannot provide.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the Lee County office that holds the specific record:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Criminal history and state records: contact the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Lee County Sheriff's Business Office
  • Filed charges and dispositions: contact the Lee County Circuit Clerk Civil/Criminal Division
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case

For sheriff incident, arrest, booking, and FOIA records, contact the Lee County Sheriff's Business Office, 240 East Progress Drive, Dixon, IL 61021, 815-284-5217. Its public hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For filed criminal cases, copies, and dispositions, contact the Lee County Circuit Clerk Civil/Criminal Division, Suite 320, 309 South Galena Avenue, Dixon, IL 61021, 815-284-5234, during the same weekday hours.
